Leicester picked up their sixth draw of the Barclays Women’s Super League season last Sunday with a 1-1 stalemate against the Hammers at Chigwell Construction Stadium.

Only Tottenham Hotspur have more this term, and although proud to come from a goal behind in London, the Interim Manager was frustrated to not walk away with three points.

“I’m disappointed,” Foster stated. “We should be coming here and getting three points. I thought in the first half, we weren’t up to our standard and we didn’t get out of first gear and then I thought the players responded brilliantly.

The Foxes failed to capitalise on their second half chances.

“We created chances but if you don’t take them then you don’t win the games, so we're hugely disappointed to not get it across the line.

“In the first half, we didn’t win enough duels and land on the first balls and we caused our own problems, but we addressed that at half-time and I thought we did well to get back into the game to make sure we were ready to get in for the second half.”

Sophie Howard levelled things up before half-time with her first league goal of the season, turning in a corner from Jutta Rantala to ensure City got something from their efforts.

We can’t keep creating the chances that we are and not take them.

However, the chances came thick and fast for the Foxes in the second period and Foster believes you can’t create the opportunities like they did and not take them, expecting to win the game.

She added: “In the second half, it was a much different story, but we can’t keep creating the chances that we are and not take them.

“I expect a lot of quality next week against Liverpool, in terms of their attacking threat. They’re in great form, and we’re going to have to be at our very best and if we’re not then we’ll get punished.”
