O'Brien To Miss Man Utd Test This Weekend
- LCFC Women play host to Manchester United this Sunday afternoon
- The action kicks off at 3pm BST at King Power Stadium
- Jennifer Foster confirms Shannon O'Brien and Denny Draper will miss the occasion through injury
Leicester head back home to King Power Stadium for the first time in over a month when the Red Devils make the trip to the East Midlands for Barclays Women's Super League action.
Interim Manager Foster spoke to the media on Friday afternoon to discuss the challenges that lie ahead, and gave an overview of her squad, mentioning two forward players that will be sidelined with injury.
Foxes Beaten By Arsenal Women
Beth Mead and Alessia Russo found the net in LCFC Women's defeat at Emirates Stadium.
"Denny Draper is still out," Foster stated. "Unfortunately Shannon [O'Brien] isn't available this weekend either. She's had a knock on her ankle again so it's pushed her recovery back and, as a precaution, we're leaving her out for the game."
Disappointed to see the English winger's progress be stalled, especially after making positive cameos against Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, the Interim Manager believes there is still enough quality in the squad to get a positive result this weekend.
"We've had a few knocks during training this week but apart from those two, the squad is looking good," Foster continued. "We're healthy heading into the weekend and our aim is to end the season on a high."
